James Partsch-Galvan,
Temperatures in New Orleans will rise above 91 degrees today. But even with the sun beaming down on them, more than 500 activists have come to New Orleans to march in front of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals to call for justice for our families. These activists have come from more than 20 states to make sure that today, as the court hears oral arguments over whether to lift the injunction blocking DAPA and Expanded DACA, the voices of our communities from all around our nation are also heard.
While they march in the streets, show your solidarity by flooding the phone lines of the 26 anti-immigrant Attorneys General and Governors who are denying relief to our families. Click here to call right now and tell them to drop the lawsuit against DAPA and Expanded DACA.
What seemed like a temporary block of DACA and DAPA continues to drag on, and while we wait for justice, our families continue to live under the threat of deportation. We've waited long enough! This mobilization is an opportunity for all our families to fight back. While we uplift the voices of millions on the ground, we need you to show our unity across the country.
Join the action from wherever you are by making calls to the Republicans who are responsible for blocking our families' relief!
We fought long and hard to have relief from deportation for our families. Now, we will not let Republicans manipulate our justice system to take the fruits of our labor away. Today, our #FamiliesFightBack!
With determination,
Donna De La Cruz
