I am still suffering a great deal at my father's old house on Terry Street here in Houston, Texas​. The house had a fire in 2009 and has never been repaired. It is in very bad shape and has gotten worse this year. My heath has also deteriorated. I am still looking for that perfect lawyer/lawyers to sue my sister Irene Galvan Abarca who lives at 301 Gale Street Houston, Texas 77009. I want to sue her and everyone else involved in threats against a public official and for violations of my rights. People like her should not be allowed to do what they did to me ! I am my father's oldest son and my father Raul Jose Galvan aka Roy Galvan suffered greatly because his rights were also violated by his sister Mary who forged his name and sold some real estate in Magnolia that belonged to all of them. It seems that my sister Irene Galvan Abarca has inherited that family trait of my father's sister. My sister and others in my family need to be taught a lesson about what we Galvans are all about ! My sister was dead set against my brother Richard Wayne Galvan getting married to my new sister-in-law Letty Galvan because she and many other family members felt that she only wanted my brother Richard for his money. It was my sister and her daughter's negligence that contributed to my brother Richard Wayne Galvan being fired from his position as the Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Houston, Texas. All this will come out in the courts of law and my sister Irene Galvan Abarca will pay dearly for her negligence and the courts will put liens on all her properties here in Houston and elsewhere to satisfy judgements in my favor and I will donate a good portion of those assets whether I am still living or deceased. It's the principle of the thing. I owe it to my father and his parents who purchased the house at 2705 Terry Houston, Texas 77009. My father's parents were rich and educated from Monterrey, Mexico.

July 18th, 1918 — Texas soldier fights heroically in France

On this day in 1918, Daniel R. Edwards of Mooresville, Texas, accomplished feats of valor near Soissons, France, that earned him the Medal of Honor. He was a member of Company C, Third Machine Gun Battalion, First Division. After undergoing treatment for battle wounds and suffering from a shattered arm, he crawled alone into an enemy trench, where he killed four and took four prisoners. While he was returning to his own lines with his prisoners, his leg was shattered by an enemy shell. His bravery and gallant acts greatly inspired his comrades. Edwards died on October 21, 1967, at Little Rock, Arkansas.

There has been so much attention on Greece in recent weeks, but the truth is that Greece represents only a very tiny fraction of an unprecedented global debt bomb which threatens to explode at any moment.
Expand text.. As you are about to see, there are 24 nations that are currently facing a full-blown debt crisis, and there are 14 more that are rapidly heading toward one. Right now, the debt to GDP ratio for the entire planet is up to an all-time record high of 286 percent, and globally there is approximately 200 TRILLION dollars of debt on the books. That breaks down to about $28,000 of debt for every man, woman and child on the entire planet. And since close to half of the population of the world lives on less than 10 dollars a day, there is no way that all of this debt can ever be repaid. The only “solution” under our current system is to kick the can down the road for as long as we can until this colossal debt pyramid finally collapses in upon itself.

As we are seeing in Greece, you can eventually accumulate so much debt that there is literally no way out. The other European nations are attempting to find a way to give Greece a third bailout, but that is like paying one credit card with another credit card because virtually everyone in Europe is absolutely drowning in debt.

Even if some “permanent solution” could be crafted for Greece, that would only solve a very small fraction of the overall problem that we are facing. The nations of the world have never been in this much debt before, and it gets worse with each passing day.

According to a new report from the Jubilee Debt Campaign, there are currently 24 countries in the world that are facing a full-blown debt crisis…

So what should be done about this?

Should we have the “wealthy” countries bail all of them out?

Well, the truth is that the “wealthy” countries are some of the biggest debt offenders of all. Just consider the United States. Our national debt has more than doubled since 2007, and at this point it has gotten so large that it is mathematically impossible to pay it off.

Europe is in similar shape. Members of the eurozone are trying to cobble together a “bailout package” for Greece, but the truth is that most of them will soon need bailouts too…

All of those countries will come knocking asking for help at some point. The fact is that their Debt to GDP levels have soared since the EU nearly collapsed in 2012.

Spain’s Debt to GDP has risen from 69% to 98%. Italy’s Debt to GDP has risen from 116% to 132%. France’s has risen from 85% to 95%.

In addition to Spain, Italy and France, let us not forget Belgium (106 percent debt to GDP), Ireland (109 debt to GDP) and Portugal (130 debt to GDP).

July 17th, 1945 — Alamo savior dies

On this day in 1945, Clara Driscoll died in Corpus Christi. She was born in 1881 in St. Mary's, Texas. After almost a decade of study and travel abroad, she returned to Texas at the age of eighteen. From 1903 to 1905 she worked with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas to acquire and preserve the Alamo by personally paying most of the purchase price. In 1906 she married Hal Sevier in New York City; in 1914 they moved to Austin, where he founded the Austin American and she directed construction of Laguna Gloria, a fine Italianate mansion located on the Colorado River. When the marriage was dissolved in 1937, Clara legally resumed her maiden name. During the next decade much of her time, energy, and money were devoted to historic preservation and civic betterment. In 1943 she presented Laguna Gloria to the Texas Fine Arts Association to be used as a museum.
